| Cat Walk 2003
Folsom Feline Rescue's Cat Walk 2003 was held
Saturday April 5th. This is a fun, sociable walk through historic old-town
Folsom to help raise money for our spay and neuter programs for cats,
dogs, and feral cats.
Our goal for Cat Walk 2003 was to raise $2500 for our spay/neuter
programs. Up until Friday, it was looking a bit iffy. But as always, we
pulled through!
We have raised $2569 in pledges so far. I say "so
far", because I've heard that more pledges will be coming. We will
easily reach $2600, which is $1000 more than last year's total!
There were about 40 people at this years walk, about 8
dogs, and a few babies too! What an excellent turnout we had! And the
weather couldn't have been more perfect for us. We got plenty of attention
from people who waved and honked as we walked by.
Huge thanks go to all who participated in this
fundraiser!!
Please visit our web pages of past events. They are always fun for the
whole family including dogs.

Cat Walk 2003 will help to generate funds to continue "SNYP"
& "FSNP." "SNYP" stands for Spay/Neuter Your Pet
and allows FFR to help low-income residents of the area "fix"
their animals. "FSNP" is our Feral Spay/Neuter Program to help
trap and alter feral cats in the area. So far, over 300 cats and dogs of
low-income residents of Folsom, Fair Oaks, Orangevale, and Citrus Heights
have been "fixed." With the money raised from CatWalk 2003 FFR
will be able to continue these important programs, thereby, helping to
prevent pet overpopulation.
