Common FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) Will you take my cats/kittens? Folsom Feline Rescue is a no-kill organization. That means we keep every feline in our foster program until we find a home for him or her. This policy also limits the number of felines we can rescue. Until we adopt out the foster felines we have we are not able to accept new ones. As our name implies we are a feline rescue, stray felines and very young feral kittens in the Folsom area have priority over unwanted pets.
We do not "sell" cats or kittens. We adopt them out. We do not profit from our adoptions. We are concerned about the feline overpopulation issue and want to find good homes for the cats and kittens we rescue. The adoption fee and community donations help us spay and neuter, provide medical care, and test our foster animals.
We prefer to only let prospective adopters pet and hold the cats and kittens. We don’t want to risk the cat or kitten getting loose, or scratching someone. We will not allow a cat or kitten to be held by a minor without a parent or guardian and a Folsom Feline Rescue representative present.
