Did you know that cats can get (and spread) rabies too? All cats and dogs are at risk of contracting rabies through contact with other animals. And microchipping your pets just make sense -- even indoors-only animals may accidentally get out of the house. If you can't get to your vet during the day, you can bring your feline and canine family members to Folsom Zoo's rabies and microchip clinics, held the fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The cost is $5 for a rabies vaccine and $20 for microchipping. The fees must be paid by cash (no checks or credit cards). The clinics are held at the zoo's Log Cabin. The zoo is located in Folsom City Park at 403 Stafford Street (Natoma and Stafford Streets) in Folsom. Call 916-355-7200 for more information.
If you're considering adding a furry feline to your family, come and meet the FFR kitties at one of our adoption events: PetsMart (Folsom) Petco (Folsom)
