PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

It's summer, and you know what that means -- kitten season has arrived. It has been a slow start this year but the kitten numbers are growing. Typically in years past we would have had kittens arriving as early as February. June and July will probably be a great time to adopt a new family member if you are looking for one. Also, if you have ever considered fostering kittens, please give us a call. We're always looking for loving temporary homes to care for all of the cats and kittens in need of rescue. You provide the love and care; we will provide the rest.

Another thing that arrives with the warmer months are fleas and ticks. Be sure that your flea and tick protection is up-to-date on your pets even if they live indoors. Just shopping at a pet store where other animals are can bring a stray flea into your home. Talk to your veterinarian about the available products.

That's it for this issue. Stay cool; same goes for your pets.

FEATURED FELINE

Meet Affectionate Anna Lyn

Anna Lyn is a very sweet and affectionate cat. She loves to be petted but does like being the only cat in the household. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped, and is on Revolution for heartworm, ear mite, and flea prevention.

For additional information about Anna Lyn, or to schedule an appointment to meet her, please call (916) 484-4099 or email info@folsomfelines.org.
