If you're looking for a new kitten companion, now is the time to adopt one -- or even two. There are so many kittens needing homes at this time of year that we encourage people to adopt more than one, or to adopt one as a companion for a pet they already have. There are never enough homes for all the animals who need one, so please consider saving a life, and taking on another lifelong companion. John Bennett ...
Introducing Tabitha
Tabitha is a beautiful medium-haired 6-year-old adult female kitty in need of a permanent home. Last summer, a good Samaritan found Tabitha and brought her to a local animal hospital. At the time, Tabitha was in labor and about to have kittens. Unfortunately, all three of her babies were stillborn, and Tabitha seemed deeply traumatized by the experience. She remained at the animal hospital for few months before Folsom Feline Rescue took her in. She had routine blood tests, vaccinations, flea treatment, was microchipped, and was spayed. Shortly after her recovery from surgery, an FFR volunteer offered to foster Tabitha and let her temporarily live at his home. The volunteer attempted to take Tabitha to weekend adoption events, but the experience was too stressful for Tabitha to handle. Tabitha is looking for a sympathetic home. She would do well in a quiet household, as she is easily frightened around strangers or large crowds. Tabitha does enjoy the presence of kittens, as long as she can be the Alpha cat. Some of Tabitha's favorite things are to sleep at the foot of the bed, wake you up in the morning for breakfast, and fetch/retrieve her miniature tennis ball. Tabitha's foster parent has graciously offered to let potential adopters come and meet Tabitha at his home. If you, or anyone you know, would like to find out more about Tabitha, or if you'd like to meet her, please contact Folsom Feline Rescue (916-484-4099 or email info@folsomfelines.org) to set up an appointment for a visit. Tabitha may just be the perfect addition to your family!
