Lexie -- The One for Us! by Jennifer O.
In June, my family adopted Lexie, a female tabby/Maine Coon mix kitten, from Folsom Feline Rescue. The cat who lived with us for more than 11 years had passed away, and we wanted to add another kitty to our household. We looked at a lot of kittens, and Lexie just fit with us. We let our sons hold her and she was just so calm and loving with them. We immediately knew she was the one for us. She has integrated into our busy and fun home better than expected. My husband Brandon and I, and our two sons, Brandon Jr. and Josh, share our home with one more cat (Callie) and two dogs (Sadie and Cosmo), so we weren't sure how Lexie would take to all the activity. She was amazing. She immediately warmed up to our household. She has the longest tail we have ever seen. When she gets excited it fluffs up really big and she starts hopping around the house. She looks like a raccoon. Our son loves to put Lexie in his stroller and push her around the house. What is funny is that she loves it. She just snuggles up and goes along for the ride. We just adore her. She loves having another cat and two dogs to play with, and they just love her. She is so much fun to have around. She has a really laid-back personality and is always making us laugh because she will do things no normal cat would do (like ride in strollers). She is a joy!
