Calendar of Events

Project SNYP is expanding!  We've received more proceeds from Petco fundraisers and decided to expand the SNYP program to Orangevale and Fair Oaks. See our web site for more information about SNYP.

Below is the calendar of events for January. We have modified our recurring schedule to take off the last weekend of each month.

oozing, hair loss, and erosions of the skin surface that usually begin on the face and ears. The footpads become thickened, cracked, and hard and shed flakes of pad. This disease is considered a very serious condition and is often fatal.

Olivia responded to treatments and showed immediate improvement. The disease is not contagious so we were able to place her in foster care after the first few weeks of therapy. She has weekly exams to follow her recovery and adjust the amount of her medication. The treatment can last months and may even require lifelong therapy. We feel very fortunate to be able to provide Olivia and other cats in need with this special kind of medical care. It is with continued support from community donations, our veterinary partners, and our foster caregivers that cases like Olivia's have a happy outcome.

When asked about her most rewarding FFR experiences, she responded, "Both CatWalk 2000 and LapCats stand out as most rewarding. I am, also, gratified when the adult cats get adopted. It's pretty exciting to see the older cats get a new adoptive family."

As for the future of FFR, Tracy states, "I see big things happening in the future for Folsom Feline Rescue. I see the City getting more involved and the City getting an actual shelter with a store combined. I can really envision that happening."

Tracy also states, "I will always be involved with FFR. It is an awesome group. John and Janet really set the tone for the group. I will always be a part of it somehow."
