Here we are, coming into the end-of-year stretch. The holidays are just around the corner and I always like to reflect on what we have done this year.
The most exciting realization early this year was that we have spent over $118,000 on spay and neuter procedures in Sacramento County. I consider this an awesome accomplishment considering that we were the only program like this in the area for a number of years, and raised all of the funds through public donations and available grants. This year, due to limited foster homes, we were not able to do as many adult cat rescues, but we did make up for some of that with kitten adoptions, which may be about half of our total adoptions for the year. Our last feral cat trapping event for the year was on October 16th for National Feral Cat day, and I look forward to starting again around February. So have a happy holiday season and I'll see you next year.
