Operation "SNYP"
Folsom Feline Rescue (FFR) and Folsom Canine Rescue (FCR) are currently
offering free spay and neuter procedures for pets of Folsom City
residents. Pet overpopulation is a major concern for rescue groups like
FFR and FCR and they have made it their goal to prevent unwanted
litters. This program, aptly named "SNYP" for Spay/Neuter Your
Pet, will enable Folsom residents to have their cats and/or dogs fixed
at no cost to the pet owner.
Folsom Feline Rescue and Folsom Canine Rescue are nonprofit, tax-exempt,
all-volunteer organizations that are committed to improving the quality
of life for homeless and unwanted pets by providing and finding homes,
assisting in educating the community, and controlling overpopulation.
Any Folsom resident interested in "SNYP" can request an
application by
contacting FFR or FCR through the groups' websites (www.folsomfelines.org
and www.folsomcanines.org) or by telephone (484-4099 and 484-3787).
All Folsom residents are encouraged to take advantage of this program
while funds last. Taking responsible action now will help prevent
unwanted litters from being abandoned in our neighborhoods, deposited in
animal shelters and ultimately perishing or being euthanized at a later
date. |
